I am Only.....

I am only a pigment,
a line,
a stroke,
in the grand scheme of things.

But you are the light
that touches
that highlights
and contrasts the dark.

You are the subject
the context,
the background
of the masterpiece.

I am only the medium
ready
to paint your brilliance.

Cover me.
Spill the colors.
Until I am too,

Is filled
with brilliance
and wonder.
